Peppermint Mocha Biscotti

Happy Festivus everyone!

Today’s cookie was brought to you by inspired by, one of my husbands favorite Starbucks drinks, the peppermint mocha.

To help bring out the peppermint flavor in the Biscotti, I decided to add just a few chopped Hershey’s Candy Cane Kisses.

Mexican Orange Cookies

I recently came across an old article posted on the New York Times website which talks about the Psychology of Gift Giving. With Christmas only a few days away I thought it would be appropriate to share it with you today.

The main point of the article basically helped reiterate something we’ve known all along… It’s the act or thought of giving and not the gift itself that matters. It lets our friends and loved ones know they are important to us and that we care about them regardless of what the gift itself might be; which in turn makes us feel good.

A win-win situation if you ask me!

White Chocolate Butterscotch Walnut Rugelach… is that a mouth-full or what?

So here I am, a day late and a dollar short.

No… you know what? Lets strike that statement from the record!

I think a “glass half full mentality” would be much more appropriate in this case. Because after all I’m a pretty positive person, one of the many great traits of a true daydreamer. ;)

Chocolate Crunch Snowball Cookies

Although I come from a humble family, my father a Cuban immigrant, and my mother a former nun who decided to leave her life behind in Mexico and start a fresh beginning here in the U.S. I don’t recall a time during my childhood where I experienced hunger, true hunger.
