Chocolate Cheesecake with Nutella Mocha Affogato

Are we drooling yet?

If so, first grab a napkin. Then head on over to Bell’almiento the fabulous blog of my Italian friend Paula, (la mia amica italiana) to read more about my guest post, and pick up the recipe while you are there.

I hope you like it, she did! 😉

Brownie Scones

Boy do I have a great recipe to share with you today. This recipe is adapted from Unplugged Baking by Nicole Rees.

As I was flipping through the pages of Baking Unplugged I came upon this specific recipe – Brownie Scones, as you probably guessed… the flipping immediately stopped and the reading began!

The first eight words on that page were all I needed to read before I started pulling ingredients out of the pantry.

This is my favorite recipe in the book.

My day started bright and early… the alarm went off at 5 am, I had some coffee, read a few emails, and tweeted a little. An hour later I was rushing to get ready for my adventure in the Spago kitchen.

This month’s Mactweets – Mac Attack Theme as you can tell by the title of this post is dedicated to Summer Flicks.

The movie I had originally intended to be the source of inspiration is one of my favorite “guilty pleasure” movies, and not a huge blockbuster such as E.T. was.

This is quite an embarrassing post… but instead of sweeping my mistake under the rug I will go ahead and come clean with you. After all we learn from our mistakes and no one is perfect, right?

It was Saturday afternoon and all was well. That is, until my nose caught a whiff of something burning in the oven. I opened the door, faced the disaster and ran to grab a sheet pan to catch any future brownie spillage. I closed the oven door and proceeded to run and grab my camera so I could capture this precious moment and share it with you.
