My intention was to simply run in and out. Who was I kidding? I should have known better. That’s something I haven’t managed to do since I first started patronizing this establishment.
The establishment I speak of by the way, is BevMo!. The plan was to simply pick up a bottle of Toffee Nut Torani syrup for my daily morning cup of coffee. However, once inside the store that plan went out the window.
As soon as I walked through their doors I headed directly over to the aisle where I knew they kept the syrups, rimmers, and such. Picked up my bottle and carefully placed it in my cart. Then something came over me, I felt I couldn’t leave without a swift browse through the liqueur aisle.
As I walked down the aisle a cute pink bottle caught my eye. I stopped and did a quick double take after glancing at the label. “SWEET REVENGE” was spelled out in all caps over a semi-tilted scroll. How could anyone resist? Never-mind the fact that on the top left corner the number 77 was highlighted in bold and the word “PROOF” right below it. Besides, it was the very last bottle on the shelf, which to me is always a good sign. So, in my cart it went.
Looking back, I now realize what I did wrong, instead of going for a cart I should have simply picked up a basket. I think I’ll try that next time, and let you know how that goes.
So, on to the margarita at hand. Once I got home I decided to swap out the grand marnier in a traditional margarita with this sour berry liqueur. The outcome? Sweet Revenge Success!

- 1½ cups strawberries (fresh or frozen), pureed
- 6 ounces silver tequila
- 3 ounces Sweet Revenge wild strawberry liqueur
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 6 key limes, juiced
- agave syrup to taste
- Pour ingredients into a small pitcher, stir well and serve over ice.

That liqueur sounds fabulous. I love trying new things like that, and I can imagine what a great strawberry flavor it has.
Oooh! I love margaritas, but I am a little intimidated by something with “revenge” in the name.
Cutest story, we have all been there. Love your glasses. I see all kinds of potential. Great photos.
