Havana Nights Party

Well, its official. Today I hit the big 40, and thanks to an amazing husband I had the party of a lifetime this weekend.

The theme of the party was Havana Nights…

It’s really not a party without music, right? Well, thanks to Ostia the party started without a hitch. Well actually, I take that back. There was a slight hitch, torrential rain was coming down at the time but, once you walked into the house you were immediately transported to a tropical paridise.

Everyone enjoyed a delicious Cuban feast of white rice, black beans, ropa vieja, picadillo, lechon, and yuca.

Lots of dancing took place… and to replenish those lost calories, there was cake of course, a delicious and equally beautiful Mango Cake.

My cousin brought his humidor and treated us to some mighty fine cigars made by his father-in-law.

I was surrounded by lots of very handsome men, family, and great friends.

The event planner, and a very lucky girl.

And as if all of that wasn’t enough… the boys got me this cute apron, and a Cuban cookbook.
