I think I’m starting to get my groove back…
So, I say we celebrate, with a rich creamy White Chocolate Creme Brûlée Martini. Are you in?
After my mom went through her Trigeminal Neuralgia surgery and although it was 100% successful, it felt like she had aged 5-7 years from one day to the next. Very scary… needless to say I found it extreamly difficult to motivate myself, socialize, or explore my culinary creativity in any sort of way.
She’s always been a go-getter, self-sufficient, and very independent, which made it even more difficult to see her lacking her joie de vivre. That coupled with tons of work made for a stressed out, semi-depressed, not wanting to socialize daydreamer.
“Well well well, how the turntables…” -Michael Scott
Now, things have changed. She’s doing much better, and is slowly returning to her normal self, which makes me extremely happy.
That coupled with the fact that the project I had been working on was a huge success makes for a very happy daydreamer too! Now tell me, have you ever seen a more beautiful product page? Our Web Dev team rocks, right? They put together the product page and my team worked on the recommendations, don’t they rock! Say they rock, or, I’ll develop an inferiority complex!
Nah… just kidding.
Sorry, enough with the drama… let’s get to the celebration with a sip of a cocktail that well, just screams celebration! Vanilla vodka, white chocolate liqueur, and a touch of butterscotch schnapps. CHEERS!
- Martini
- 3 ounces vanilla vodka
- 1½ ounces white chocolate liqueur
- ½ ounce butterscotch schnapps
- ½ ounce heavy cream
- Garnish
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- Pour sugar into a small sauce pan. Place over medium heat, stir occasionally. Once sugar has completely melted and turned an amber color, remove from heat and drizzle over a silicone mat. Allow caramel to cool. You’ll know it’s cool when it has completely harden.
- Combine martini ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled halfway with ice. Shake for 30-40 seconds, and serve into a martini glass.
- When ready to serve carefully lift caramel garnish off mat and place over edge of martini glass.
I see you smiling…

Wow! I’m not really a drinker but this I could so enjoy! And oooh everything you say about your mom I am feeling too. It is so hard for me to watch her get older and slowing down. I actually think she’d be so super happy with one of these crème brulée martinis!
