I have a few confessions to make…
This past week I worked on replicating an amazing dessert from Sprinkles Bakes (I’ll post pics later). I’ve worked on this dessert over the span of three evenings, and although I’m still not completely done with it, I will admit it has been fun. A couple of final touches and it should be ready to make the drive with me over Ortega Highway this mornning.
Last night (1 hour and 15 minutes ago) while working on the above mentioned dessert, I got a craving for Ice Cream. So, while the frosting was being whipped I grabbed a dessert spoon and helped myself to the remains of Moose Tracks Ice Cream purchased last weekend, right out of the carton (why add unnecessary dirty dishes to the load). Oh, and I say remains because thanks to the boys who apparently have inherited my love for all frozen sweet treats, there wasn’t very much left.
One last thing I must confess…
I made this cocktail more than once this week, which makes me fairly confident it will definitely meet your approval.
- 5 ounces vanilla vodka
- 2 ounces heavy cream
- 1 ounce coffee liqueur
- ½ ounce strawberry liqueur
- 2 tablespoons blueberry preserves or jelly
- fresh blueberries for garnish (optional)
- Combine ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled half-way with ice. Shake for 30-40 seconds and serve into a martini class.
- Garnish with fresh blueberries

OMG! This sounds like a perfect cocktail! Btw-I think I live really close to you. Isn’t Ortega highway in OC? It never ceases to amaze me how small the world really is! Have a great weekend
Hi Kathleen, I live on the other side of the mountain but commute into Aliso Viejo. Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great weekend too!
I like the way you think! I am so happy that you are willing to try out these things for us.
Thanks Bryan, you know… I like to take care of my peeps.
Love your blueberry cheesecake cocktail! Thanks for the link to mine.
Well this looks like a martini I must try. Who’d have thunk it? Blueberry cheesecake martini, you’re a genius.
Where’s the cheese?
There isn’t any cheese, the combination of heavy cream touch of coffee liqueur give it that sort of taste.
You could possibly use a blueberry liqueur in this too. I just made a batch and it’s simple to do. It also goes well with a simple dessert like vanilla ice cream and fresh blueberries.
What a creative use for ingredients, love it!!!
Simple w/great pics. Keep up the good work!
Wow! I do not blame you at all for making this more than once! This is definitely something I need to make a few of as well
YUM!! I’m going to have to try…soon!

I had my first blueberry martini the other night while we were out. I’m hooked. And you posted this in perfect timing for me so thank you very much! I’m going to enjoy this one
