Red Carpet Peppermint Mocha Martini

I hope you’ve had a great weekend so far.

Just in case you happen to be watching, instead of attending the Oscar’s tonight. I made you a special cocktail to sip on while you take in the show.

Rimming ingredients

In my opinion, the star of this show is the E. Guittard cocoa powder. It contributes a rich dark chocolate taste thanks to the two roles it plays in this Martini. Rim garnish, followed by a lead roll in the martini itself.

Rimming the martini glass

Let me try and describe one sip…

The Kahlua liqueur and espresso vodka join forces to gently awaken your taste buds. Once they are awake, they will feel completely refreshed by the hint of peppermint found in the Peppermint Schnapps that follows. Finally they will feel a scene of peace and warmth as soon as the intense dark chocolate flavor takes over.

Now, I’d like to thank my ingredients and my dreamy brain who helped me create this classy beverage for you. Oops, looks like my 45 seconds is up…

Have a great night!

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Pour ingredients into the cocktail shaker including cocoa powder, and shake for 20-30 seconds.

Strain and serve into martini glasses.

Ah, another use for that half empty bottle of Kahlua sitting in the pantry after making Death by Chocolate.
