It’s no secret… I’m a big fan of the Chocolate-Hazelnut flavor combination.
So far I’ve used this flavor profile to make these cookies…
as well as these…
I’ve also used it to frost a cake…
to add a little “PZAZZ!” to a cheesecake…
And let’s not forget one of the best ways to enjoy this flavor combination,
in the form of gelato of course!
So, this weekend I decided I would use this flavor profile to bring you this week’s cocktail.

Gianduia (Chocolate-Hazelnut) Shot
serves 3
3 ounces Frangelico Hazelnut Liqueur
3 ounces Godiva Chocolate Liqueur
1.5 ounce heavy whipping creamNutella to rim the glasses
Mix ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Shake for 15-20 seconds. Serve in Nutella rimmed shot glasses.

Salute!

The photography is jaw dropping!!!
If I wasn’t nuts about Nutella before the post I certainly am now! Beautiful.
Why haven’t I got Frangelico in my cupboard? These pictures are beautiful….and so is the idea…dangerously beautiful!
Just 1 word- Woooooow!!! love it!
I starred this post because I want to make EVERYTHING you showed. I have a new obsession with Nutella!
Wow, this must be truly delicious! I looove Frangelico too…
There is nothing sad about Nutella in a glass or any of the other things mentioned. I admit that I even eat Nutella out of the jar with a spoon, I’m not above it.
Thanks for sharing, these are so going on my “to make” list.

Yum – great idea! chocolate and hazelnuts are a fantastic combination – I too could eat spoonfuls of nutella straight out of the jar! thanks for the post.
OH MY GOODNESS. I’m about to have to take a field-trip to my pantry and just attack some nutella with a spoon. These shots look absolutely positively decadently divine.
I’ll take those cookies as an appetizer, the cake for dinner, a hunk of that cheesecake for dessert and some gelato as a midnight snack….with a shot or two along with each course please!!
Oh Josie – these shots look heavenly! A sinful and decadent grown-up treat. I luv that last image shot. Salute to you too!
There are a few things more satisfying in life than a combination of chocolate and hazelnuts. The shot looks great, and I can only imagine the way it tastes.
Your photos are incredible:)
Beautiful Pics and unique drink will surely try it
I’m pretty sure I drooled on my keyboard.
Can I have one of everything pictured? Please, pretty please???
This cocktail would be the perfect ending for an elegant dinner party – rich, decadent and sophisticated. Have bookmarked this page for future reference!!
That sounds so lovely. So many uses for Nutella!
Oh my goodness! We have friends coming over for dinner this weekend and I am going to serve them some of these shots. Brilliant!
Be still my heart! That is simply divine… thanks for passing along another bit of sweet treat brilliance!
Whoa Mama!! This is too good to be true!! I would be licking the rim until there was absolutely no trace of Nutella left!
Um, I will never stop drinking hahaha … it’s like a fabulous cake inside of a shot glass!
I’ll drink to that!
I love these dainty little shots on that paisley fabric. All of these Nutella desserts are gorgeous, especially that cake!!

definitely there’s a nutella heaven out there somewhere. these desserts and cocktail are heavenly.
You did not. You did!! I think I have a new crush on you!
What a cool idea! Now I think nutella is like a magic ingredient.
you should call this “Nutella da bere” and sell it in Italy! You would become our new national hero!
Oh boy, I think I could down all three of those very quickly. I’m adding these to the list for my next party!
Yum! We’ve got to get these recipes in the World Nutella Day recipe list! Hope you’ll be making another Nutella creation for Feb. 5th

I wouldn’t miss it!
You know something? I have all of these ingredients in the house, so WHY have I not thought to put them together? Thank you!
Ciao bella Nutella! What a great idea!
Simply brilliant! You have put the glam in Nutella!
OOHH GOD! WE’RE DEADLY IN LOVE WITH YOUR SHOTS !!
Oh my goodness… I adore all things Nutella. This is absolutely brilliant. I am in love with that Godiva liqueur, too… Mmmmm
One word came to mind as I read this post: PERFECT!
Love the work (the photos are beautiful).
Favorite way to use the flavors together? AFFOGATO!
In a martini glass place 1 or 2 scoops of the best chocolate gelato you can find.
Pour a shot of Frangelico over. Brew 1 pull of nice espresso and pour over while still hot (crushed hazelnut biscotti are welcome at this point also).
The combo of warm & cold with the sweet & alcohol is AMAZING.
Wow, sounds heavenly!! Will have to give it a try!
How delicious! I also really LOVE the paisley table cloth!! Where can I get one!?
Thank you! It’s actually not a table cloth, just a regular dinner napkin I picked up at World Market.
this looks incredible! Another Nutella food that I have found while traveling in Sicily is Nutella pizza! I know, sounds amazing and it tastes even better! Maybe try some petite cupcake sized pizzas with nutella? just saying anything with nutella is incredible! Sono ossessionato con NUTELLA!
I hear ya, same here when it comes to Nutella. And, mini Nutella pizzas sound incredible, will definitely need to do a little experimenting.
its an amazing sugar attack. looks delicious.
Great job. I loved the pictures.
I love you!
Not only do the Nutella Shots look fantastic, but the “Shut the Front Door” comment has had me laughing for an hour!
I love you blog and enjoy all of your recipes and photos – so much so that I would love to share them using Pinterest. Will you make your blog available to Pinterest? It is a shame that you do not. I see your photos up everywhere and the links are not coming back to you. You deserve the credit!
Hi Lisa!
Thank you so much for stopping by, I’m glad you are enjoying the blog. I finally figured out the permission issue which was preventing you from pinning one of my images, and just fixed it. So give it a shot, it should work now. Pin away my friend, pin away…
