I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend.
My Thanksgiving was a bit untraditional, in that it involved the addition of PJs, boxes of tissue, Tylenol, and cough syrup. This also meant I was forced to watch from the couch as my husband and oldest son prepared our Thanksgiving dinner.
I’m happy to report they did a fantastic job and I was pleasantly surprised to see how well they worked together.
As you can guess, I’ve stayed away from the kitchen since the bug hit me, which seems like it’s been forever. But, thanks to some pretty good antibiotics I should be back in action within the next couple of days. Just in time for “Cookie Month”!

Danish Butter Cookies – These cookies are as close as you’re gonna get to those out of the blue tin box, if not better! 😉
Pecan Logs – One of the holiday staple cookies, not a year goes by without whipping up a batch of these.
W’s – These pretty buttery yet not overly sweet cookies are the signature cookie of one of the best pastry shops in Brussles.
Baklava Inspired palmiers – These babies made it into the final 4 recipes during last year’s Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry bake-off.
Spiced Espresso Meltaways – With just a hint of spice and a nice punch of espresso these are sure to give you that extra holiday shopping boost you need!
Chocolate Shortbread Christmas Trees – ‘Cmon can we get any more festive than this? 😉
Italian Almond Macaroons – Feel a little intimidated by French Macarons, these are a great starter cookie.
Pumpkin Spice Cake Truffles – These might take a while to put together but after having a taste of one you’ll see the extra work is a small price to pay.
Cream Cheese Almond Cookies – This is another perfect holiday cookie, the dough can be made ahead and baked off as needed. They also handle shipping fairly good.
Oatmeal White Chocolate Pistachio Cookies – This has become my favorite oatmeal cookie!
Peppermint & Egg Nog Macarons – An adapted recipe from The Macaron Queen herself, Helene from My Tartelette, need I say more?
Monochrome Rainbow Cookies – Words cannot begin to describe these babies, you’ll just have to make them and see for yourself how delicious they are.
