Summer Flick Macs

This month’s Mactweets – Mac Attack Theme as you can tell by the title of this post is dedicated to Summer Flicks.

The movie I had originally intended to be the source of inspiration is one of my favorite “guilty pleasure” movies, and not a huge blockbuster such as E.T. was.

E.T. Images via IMDB

However when my movie-matched macaron concoction didn’t turn out as expected. I decided to switch gears and chose a movie equally close to my heart that would work with the the other two batches of macarons I had made that same weekend.

Pumpkin Pie Macaron Shells filled with Vanilla Bean Buttercream.

Dark Chocolate Macarons filled with Vanilla Bean Buttercream.

Sorry I didn’t post the Mac recipes for these, I’m working on a cookbook. Hope you understand. :)

I love the color and the flecks in the pumpkin macs. I might have to borrow that idea. Chocolate are my favorite flavor. They both look perfect. Good luck with the cookbook!

Gorgeous! How do you get your macs to not stick? I use a liner too! Very annoying!

TWO sets of macarons? You outdid yourself Josie. And having tastes your macarons first hand, I can only imagine how delicious they were. Love the inspiration too.

And seriously, a cookbook? YOU GO GIRL!
